Express Edit of the Matrimony of Gilbert & Esther

Here's another sample of my videography and express edit service for actual day wedding. Both Gilbert and Esther are very photogenic and thus it makes my videography work much more easier :)
I also realised that the "Nobody" dance by wonder girls are in popular demand in the gate crashing itinerary for the bridegroom, :) maybe one of these days I'm going to edit a montage of the "Nobody" dance by all the different bridegrooms...

Pre Wedding Short Film of Choon Wei & Eni - Part 1

This pre wedding short film was shot on canon 7D in Full HD, based on the details given by Choon Wei and Eni. I made a script out to reenact "when" and "where" they first met and got together, Eni wanted a more lively and comical content, initially it was quite a challenge for me as both of them are a pair of lovely couples and thus there ain't much of ups and downs throughout their relationships. So based on the details they had given to me, i have to conceptualize and tailored the scripts for them to accentuate on their lines and their facial expressions. With some directions and guidance, they managed to deliver to my expectations, but at the end of the shoot...both of them were totally worn out by me :) I sincerely hoped that they had enjoyed the experience of acting that I had prepared them and to make this video a memorable one for them.

My Buddy Chew's Wedding Short Film

One of my bros "Chew" came out with this interesting idea of doing a Spoof version of ”无间道“ and “花样年华” for the mock up golden horse award during his wedding dinner banquet to bring him and his wife on stage for the first march in.

It was fun to see him acting, think he is quite a good actor though. I basically shot this spoof video using a consumer HD camcorder, went around china town area and beach road for the location scenes and we took a full 12 hours full day to complete everything, my wife also helped out to do hair styling and makeup for Chew and his wife.
Below is the video, enjoy!

Stephen should start keeping this blog alive!

After getting some feedbacks from clients, saying that my blog is not up to date. I think i need to buck up to do some updates of what I had done in my wedding video and photography business for the past years.

Although since early last year I had been focusing a lot on my photography for our Singapore new iconic place "Marina Bay Sands" shooting a lot on architectures, campaigns, events and portraits etc. I had committed myself to do wedding videos and photography over the weekends.

I still think that shooting people's wedding really satisfied me a lot, I get to frame up many beautiful subjects through my camera viewfinder.

Compliments from Darcy and EeWei

Hi Stephen,

Darcy's family and friends have viewed the DVD. So have my Jie Meis.
My Jie Meis thought that the DVD was really nicely put together and
they all liked the lil 'story' of us getting ready for the big day
especially getting to see Darcy getting ready.
Overall, you captured the day as it is - filled with lots of love,
lots of laughs and smiles, a beautiful day that Darcy and i will never
forget.

Wedding videography work in Taiwan PengHu

Xiong and Mei are a pair of lovely couple that I have shot so far, it was a rather a tough job as I had to carry both Videocam & my DSLR camera to shoot for video and photos for them on their wedding day.

Taiwan had always been on the same track with Japan on anything from fashion to food et.. And for wedding photography in Taiwan, brides love to have the 1/2 to a stop over photos to give that flawless super fair look on them. Of course all these could be done in post, and Mei and Xiong are really cool and supportive to my work to accept some of their photos with more contrast and details delivery.

Overall, I really enjoyed myself there in PengHu with all the nice beautiful scenery that makes stay there memorable, and really thanks Mei and Xiong for the hospitality rendered to me during my stay there. Cheers..

Express Edit sample done by Stephen Chin

When I first met Ben, he told me that he wanted to get the right videographer to not only capture the moments on their big day, he wanted the express highlights of the morning video to be edited and filled with laughter. I immediately showed him some of my work and the deal was clinched right on spot.

I guess this has always been my style of presenting a morning express video for my wedding clients. To create the moments of laughter, to see the foolishness of the groom & his entourage getting all the "tekan" from the sisters of the bride. I often laugh my heart out while filming these scenarios, I always told myself to present to the guests at the banquet of what I had seen through the view finder of my camera , to make them feel the pain, to share the joy of what Ben went earlier in order to fetch Li Yen, make them burst into laughter just the way I had.

At the dinner that night, when I hear the laughter from the guests after this video was played, I know that I have not disappoint Ben.
